What if what Ed said is not just a “hollow threat”? There are many, many folks in this world that are quite convinced that belief in the deity of Christ is an absolute essential to salvation. Here is a quote from that article: “Essential for salvation: These are the most essential doctrines of all. This includes what every Christian should always be willing to die for. In essence, if someone does not believe the doctrines that are “essential for salvation,” they are not saved.

What I include:

  • Belief in God (there is no such thing as an atheistic Christian)

Issues pertaining to the person and work of Christ:

I would personally believe that an outright denial of His deity does put one in a very dangerous place.
