Galatians 5

For freedom Christ set us free; stand then and do not again be subject to a yoke of slavery. 2 Look, I, Paul, say to you that if you are circumcised, Christ will not at all benefit you. 3 I testify again to every person being circumcised that he is a debtor to do the whole Law. 4 You were cut off from Christ, such of you as are (being) justified by (the) Law, you fell away from grace. 5 For we in the spirit from faith eagerly-await a hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor uncircumcision but faith working through love.

7 You were running well; who hindered you so as not to be persuaded by [the] truth? 8 The persuasion (is) not from the one calling you. 9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you in the Lord that you will think nothing other; but the one disturbing you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be. 11 Brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? Then the scandal of the cross has been nullified. 12 I wish indeed those disturbing you to be castrated.

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers; only do not let freedom (become) a pretext for the flesh, but through the love be-as-slaves to one another. 14 For (the) whole Law in one word has been fulfilled in the “love your neighbour as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour one another, watch lest you might be consumed by one another.

16 I say walk in spirit and do not complete desire of flesh. 17 For the flesh desires against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh, for these things are opposed to one another, in order that what you do not wish, these things you do. 18 If you are led by the spirit, you are not under Law. 19 The works of the flesh are evident, which are sexual immorality, uncleanness, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, zeal, outbursts-of-anger, selfish-ambitions, divisions, factions, 21 jealousies, episodes-of-drunkenness, revelries, and things such as these, which things I warn you, as I warned, that those practising such things will not inherit (the) kingdom of God. 22 The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith(fulness), 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no Law. 24 Those of the Christ [Jesus] crucified the flesh with the passions and the desires.

25 If we live in spirit, let us also keep-in-line with spirit. 26 Let us not be conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
